The best wildlife-watching in the Americas

See tripsPlan with AI

Why The Pantanal

The Pantanal is the planet's largest tropical wetland: and, for sheer concentration of wildlife, the best place in the Americas to see it. Open country and river channels mean animals are out in the open, not hidden in dense jungle.

This is where to come for jaguars, capybaras, hyacinth macaws and caimans by the hundred. We arrange the lodges, boats and guides that put you in the right place at the right hour.

  • JaguarsThe Pantanal is the world's best place to see wild jaguars, especially along the rivers.
  • CapybarasThe world's largest rodent, grazing the wetlands in families.
  • Hyacinth macawsBrilliant cobalt-blue parrots, the largest flying parrot on Earth.
  • Caimans & ottersCaimans line the banks; giant river otters fish the channels.
  • Safari boat tripsDrift the rivers at dawn and dusk for the best sightings.
  • Spectacular birdlifeToucans, jabiru storks and hundreds more species.
