Frequently asked questions

Everything travelers usually ask before a Brazil trip. Can't find your answer? Contact us or message us on WhatsApp.

Planning & booking

How do I book a trip?

Start with our AI planner, WhatsApp, or the contact form. We'll build a day-by-day plan, confirm the details with you, and you book directly with our team. There's no payment or card entry on this website.

Can you plan a fully custom or private trip?

Yes. Most of our trips are private and tailor-made around your dates, pace, interests and budget — from a single Rio day tour to a multi-week journey across Brazil.

How far in advance should I book?

The earlier the better, especially for Carnival and the December–February high season when guides and accommodation fill up. For quieter months, a few weeks is usually enough.

Which destinations do you cover?

Rio de Janeiro is our home base, and we also plan trips to Iguaçu Falls, the Amazon, the Pantanal, Salvador, Lençóis Maranhenses, São Paulo and Florianópolis. See our Trips page for details.

Best time & the trip itself

When is the best time to visit Rio and Brazil?

Rio is rewarding year-round; the shoulder months are calmer and cooler, summer is peak beach season, and Carnival reshapes the whole city. our blog has a season-by-season guide.

Do you offer hotel pickups?

Yes — pickup and drop-off are included in Copacabana on our standard group tours, and in Copacabana and Ipanema on private tours. Pickups from other neighborhoods can be arranged on private tours for R$90 each way.

How big are the groups?

We focus on private and small-group experiences, so days stay flexible and personal.

Safety & health

Is Brazil safe for tourists?

Brazil is welcoming and rewarding, and traveling with local guides who know each area well makes a real difference. We plan sensible routes and timing and are reachable throughout your trip. our blog has an honest safety guide.

Do I need a visa or vaccinations?

Requirements depend on your nationality and change over time, so check your Brazilian consulate and a travel-health clinic before you travel. We're happy to point you in the right direction, but this isn't official immigration or medical advice.

Money & payment

What's included in a tour?

It depends on the tour — our Rio day tours have set inclusions, while custom trips are quoted to match what you want. Everything is spelled out in your plan or quote before you commit.

How does payment work?

Once your plan is confirmed you can pay by card (through a secure Stripe payment link we send you — card payments carry a 10% platform fee), by bank transfer, or in cash (reais or US dollars). We never ask for card or payment details on this website. Bookings are confirmed with a 10% deposit; the balance is paid on the day of the tour in Rio de Janeiro, and for other destinations we arrange payment in advance with you.

What currency are prices in?

Our Rio day tours are priced in Brazilian reais (R$), often shown with an approximate US$ figure. Other destinations are quoted on request. Final quotes are confirmed by our team.

What is your cancellation policy?

Day tours are refundable up to 48 hours before. For other trips our policy is seasonal: in high season (December–March), cancelling more than 30 days ahead carries a 10% fee, 30–20 days 20%, under 20 days 20–30% depending on the service, and within 2 days or no-show the charge can be full. In low season (April–November), cancelling under 10 days ahead carries a 20% fee, and within 2 days or no-show the charge is full. Rescheduling is free. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.

Do you offer accessible or wheelchair-friendly tours?

Yes — accessible, inclusive travel is our specialty. We arrange accessible transport, vetted accommodation and realistic routes, and we confirm what's accessible for your specific needs before you book. We never make blanket promises. See our Accessible Travel page.

Can you arrange accessible transport and accommodation?

Yes. We plan and verify transport, step-free routes, and suitable accommodation around your mobility, vision or hearing needs, and tell you honestly if something isn't workable.

Our team guides in English, Portuguese and Hebrew.
