The idea
The classic first-visit route: the marvellous city of Rio, the thundering falls of Iguaçu, and the deep hush of the Amazon — three completely different Brazils, knitted together by short internal flights.
Private, flexible, and paced with rest days built in, so the heat and the scale never flatten you. Every day is shaped around you by our Rio-based team.
Best for: First-time visitors who want Brazil's three most iconic experiences without rushing.
Day by day
Your 11 days
A guide, not a script — every day flexes around you, the weather, and the best of the moment.
- 1
Arrive in Rio de Janeiro
Land in the Cidade Maravilhosa and settle in. An easy first evening — the beach promenade, a coconut water, and the city's rhythm finding you.
- 2
Rio's icons
Christ the Redeemer atop Corcovado and the cable car up Pão de Açúcar (Sugarloaf), timed to sidestep the thickest crowds and catch the best light.
- 3
Santa Teresa, Lapa & Tijuca
The bohemian hillside of Santa Teresa, the arches and steps of Lapa, and a green pause in the hand-replanted Tijuca Forest — the world's largest urban rainforest.
- 4
Rio at your pace
A deliberately loose day — Ipanema and Leblon, a neighbourhood market, or a sunset applauded from Arpoador rock.
- 5
Fly to Iguaçu Falls
A short flight southwest to Foz do Iguaçu. Nothing quite prepares you for the first sight of the falls.
- 6
The Brazilian side
The panoramic boardwalk delivers the whole green amphitheatre of falling water, ending on the catwalk into the spray of the Devil's Throat.
- 7
The Argentine side
Cross the border (passport in hand) for the trails that put you on top of the falls — the two sides are two halves of one experience.
- 8
Fly to Manaus, gateway to the Amazon
A travel day across the continent to Manaus, the improbable rubber-era city in the middle of the rainforest.
- 9
Into the rainforest
Transfer to a jungle lodge on a quieter tributary, where the Amazon stops being a tour and becomes an immersion — dawn birdsong, caiman at night, pink river dolphins.
- 10
Rivers & wildlife
The Meeting of the Waters, canoe trips through flooded forest or jungle walks depending on the season, and the staggering silence of the deep Amazon.
- 11
Homeward
Return to Manaus and connect for your onward flight — recalibrated, a little sun-drunk, already plotting the return.
